Jen+Dean’s Autumn Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photography
Jen+Dean’s Autumn Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photography on a beautiful crip autumn day.
All the other weddings I’ve shot at Nunsmere Hall have been in the Summer months, so I was looking forward to seeing the venue in my favourite season. I’d shot Jen’s brother’s wedding earlier this year in the Lake District, so was looking forward to seeing their family again as they were all lovely to work with. I arrived really early in the morning, so there was plenty of time to spend on shooting preparation and flower photos. The last couple of weddings I’ve shot at Nunsmere Hall, the bride wasn’t at the hall in the morning so flower and detail shots were done elsewhere, so I’d been waiting for Jen & Dean’s wedding day to use one of my new lenses to shoot the bouquets, rings and shoes as you can see them below. I was so grateful the weather was in my favour as I could not have taken those gorgeous but delicate orchids out in the rain!
After the ceremony, which featured three readings and a string quartet, the couple and their guests relaxed in the grand surroundings with drinks and canapes. Ace DJ Peter Lockwood was providing both DJ services and lighting, I bumped in to him after the ceremony as he arrived early to unload his equipment – I’ve worked with Peter several times before and highly recommend him, I knew the room would be really dramatic with his uplighters, and you can see the effects below in the first dance photos.
I also have to share the history behind Jen’s gorgeous veil, but I’ll have to wait until she’s back from honeymoon so I can double check I get the story correct! 🙂
