Civil Partnership Photography Manchester Town Hall
Rob & Dave’s Civil Partnership Photography Manchester Town Hall and Radisson Edwardian on a gorgeous bright sunny day in July.
I’ve shot quite a few Civil Partnerships at Manchester Town Hall recently, and at a number of other locations around Manchester, but I find gay couples quite often want more discretion with their pictures, and all my couples have the option to ‘opt out’ of being featured on my website and blog. So, I was really quite chuffed when Rob & Dave said they would love to be featured on my blog! 🙂
Rob and Dave arrived at Manchester Town Hall early, and snuck out of site of guests. They didn’t want to be arriving at the last minute, so instead chose to get there super early then relax whilst the guests arrived. As guests arrived, I got some natural documentary coverage, and helped with applying button holes. Everyone settled in to the ceremony room to wait for the couple who were walking down the aisle together, as is popular with Civil Partnerships. A beautiful but emotional ceremony followed, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, myself included. Manchester Town Hall, with it’s gothic architecture and grandeur is perfect for wedding ceremonies. You can find out more about this gorgeous venue here.
After some photos around Manchester Town Hall, we all headed off to the Radisson Edwardian (Manchester Free Trade Hall) where a reception was held in one the the Radissons gorgeous suites. The happy couple had hired a couple of fabulous singers for their evening reception, which went down a treat with guests. The pillars and archway at the front of the Radisson provided the perfect backdrop for more portraits of the couple, and the style of this building matched really well with the town hall.
It was a fun, emotional day with an amazing couple and I felt privileged to be part of their special celebration.
