Chester Wedding Photography
After mainly shooting full day coverage weddings for the past few years, I’ve recently started offering some shorter coverage options, so thought I’d share a bit about Jessica & Pauls fab wedding in Chester as they had chosen one of my new mini packages.
As Jessica & Paul were having a small intimate wedding in Chester, they were just looking for ceremony photos, a handful of group combinations, and then some portraits in iconic & historical city of Chester, followed by couple portraits by the river, with a handful more group photos if we had time.
Here’s what the timeline of the wedding day looked like:
- 11:00 – I arrived at the Register office
- 11:30 – Ceremony
- 12:00 – Few group photos
- 12:20 – Couple portraits round Chester, working our way to the river
- 12:50 – Couple portraits at the river
- 13:10 – Few more group photos before I left at 13:30
Total time: 2.5 hours. Jessica & Paul received 175 photos in total from this coverage.
I arrived at 11am on the day, Paul was running a little late so I headed inside to chat with Jessica until Paul arrived. With Jessica arriving first & Paul arriving with 15 minutes to spare, the ceremony started on time.

We got a group photo on the steps of the register office, then headed to the town hall to use the steps there as well.
We were lucky & there was no one else using the front of the town hall, it was ace to incorporate this historic building in the wedding photos.
We then started working our way round Chester, making sure to get the iconic buildings in the background.
