Stanneylands Hotel Wedding Pictures: Beccy and Stewarts big day!
I’ve just got home from shooting Beccy and Stewarts Stanneylands Hotel wedding pictures. It was an ace day! I hadn’t shot at this venue before, so it was nice to be working at a new venue. I had met the couple a few weeks back and we scouted out locations for groups and portraits, and also a rain contingency plan, but the weather was on our side today! It was one of those perfect days where it rained when we didn’t need to be outside, but was then dry and sunny during the scheduled time for group shots.
The day started with me meeting Beccy in one of the hotel rooms. She was getting ready along with her chief bridesmail and sister Emily, and three younger bridesmaids. I got all the detail shots, then went to meet the groom and best man at reception. The best Man just happened to be Stewarts brother Phil, who was also his identical twin. I just KNEW I was gonna get these guys mixed up at one point, but I only called Stewart Phil once, so it wasn’t too bad! 🙂
After the ceremony, the couple mingled with guests in the conservatory, enjoying some drinks before the group shots. I got loads of documentary style wedding pictures and was keeping a close eye on the weather hoping the rain would stop. Group shots were scheduled for 3pm, and the rain stopped dead on time. Perfect! There was even blue skies and fluffy white clouds, the perfect backdrop for Stanneylands hotel wedding pictures!
One of the things to consider with any venue is whether there is alternative locations to shoot should the weather not be favourable. With your Stanneylands Hotel wedding picrtures, this isn’t an issue at all as there’s loads of space inside with a selection of backgrounds including classic fireplaces, contemporary decor and a library area, so even if the weather wasn’t playing ball I would have been spoilt for choice!
Another important factor in any wedding venue is the staff. Wedding coordinator Eamon was a real pleasure to work with. The couple commented on what a fantastic job he did on the day and how he had been really helpful in the run up to planning their wedding. It was great to work at this venue, and I’m very much looking forward to returning in future as it was a great team to work with, and a gorgeous venue with lots of wedding photo opportunities.
A huge thank you to Beccy and Stewart for booking me. I’ve had an ace day working with them, and can’t wait to show them their Stanneylands Hotel Wedding Pictures! 🙂
