B5//HIVE is an informal, flexible and relaxed workshop with personalisation right through to the core.
The Hive is a community first and foremost- the lack of formality and flexibility makes it a great environment for learning. All workshops are personalised to your website and your data, ensuring that what you learn is both relevant and helpful.

Here are my website stats from the last 12 months. The recent increases reflect the latest changes at Google that I have been testing on my site.
I’ll be teaching the new algorithm changes to anyone who wants the lowdown on the latest at Google. In addition, we’ll be looking at strategy, site quality, and performance. The aim will be to re-optimise some of your website’s content during the workshop.
I’ve always been passionate about education. If you’d asked me at age 13 or 14 what career I wanted, I would have said teacher. My work experience at school was in a primary school, and I loved it!
But then I discovered photography, and with being able to combine both my geeky and creative side, it was the perfect fit.
I established my business back in 2005 and since then have shot the best part of 500 weddings around the UK, from priories in Kent, to castles in Perth, and loads of gorgeous country house and chic city venues in-between.
I relocated to Manchester in 2007 and had almost zero budget to build my business, so that’s when I started learning about websites, search engines & SEO. I’ve been studying SEO for 10 years now, and in addition to my own well performing website, I’ve helped other photographers improve the performance of their websites too.
During my photography career I’ve spent around 18 months teaching photography, Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom to both teenagers and adult learners in Further Education colleges.
In 2014 I started offering wedding photographer SEO consultancy to a select few photographers to help them improve their websites.
In Dec 2016 I started working with Turner Web Services as an SEO Lead. Since then, I’ve optimised over 50 websites, and topped up with SEO Training with Yoast.
I’ve completed both the Yoast ‘SEO for WordPress‘ training and the Site Structure training, so I’m qualified to set up your Yoast plug-in for the best possible SEO results & advise on website structure improvements.
The workshops take place in my home/studio, a beautiful 200-year-old ex-cotton mill.
The address is:
B5 Chorlton Mill, 3 Cambridge Street, Manchester, M1 5BY
There’s an NCP car park across the road (NCP Hulme Street), and the studio is within a couple of minute walk from Oxford Rd station.
What Happens Next?
Once you’ve paid, I’ll be in touch within 24hrs to collect some website details and get you set up with my auditing software.
