Autumn Alicia Hotel Wedding Photography
Laura+Steve’s Autumn Alicia Hotel Wedding Photography
Autumn is my favourite season, I love all those warm tones and soft light. The last time I shoot a wedding at the Alicia Hotel was last Autumn, so it was lovely to be back again at this time of year.
I started the day with meeting Laura and the girls at her parents house, after getting some candid and detail shots, I headed to St Matthew and St James’s Church, part of the Mossley Hill Team Ministry, to meet Steve and the guys. I’ve shot a couple of weddings at All Hallows, which is covered by the same ministry team, so I knew I’d receive a warm welcome. When I arrived, I got some interior and exterior photos so that I could use these as backgrounds in the couples wedding album. Also, I wanted to gift these to the church to say thank you for allowing me to shoot Laura and Steve’s beautiful ceremony. Not all Churches allow photography during the ceremony, so it’s worth checking.
It was so bright and sunny when I arrived at the Church, and the church was so gorgeous inside that I decided to shoot the guys portraits inside the church. The guests started arriving and I got some documentary style photographs of this, and then it was time for the wedding ceremony. After the beautiful ceremony and readings, all the guests headed outside and I organised a few quick groups as there was another wedding on after Laura & Steve’s, so we couldn’t hang around!
That done, everyone headed to the venue where a drinks reception, more groups and some portraits of the happy couple were followed by a fabulous wedding breakfast and entertaining speeches.
Some feedback from Laura:
‘Thank you SO much Karen they are absolutely beautiful and AMAZING!! We are SO SO happy!’
Thanks for booking me guys, it was ace to be part of your wedding day & so glad you love the photos. 🙂
